How will you make an impact?

Reporting to the Director, Operations in San Jose, the Senior Warehouse Manager, will play an integral part in aligning the material supply with the manufacturing and shipping requirements. The responsibilities include managing the on-going performance and continuous improvement of the processes and support of the processes.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, logistics, and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinates material movement and issuance of product requests throughout the plant.
  • Ensures compliance with SOP, Regulatory and GMP requirements affecting the flow, storage and use of materials.
  • Works collaboratively with manufacturing, purchasing and other site managers to operate in a predictable and efficient manner to meet customer and site needs.
  • Works continuously to improve operations and reduce costs.
  • Initiates and conducts formal cost reduction projects. Manages headcount to meet financial and operational goals.
  • Identifies and initiates process improvements and staff training.
  • Maintains regular performance coaching and appraisal communications with subordinates.
  • Provide managerial support to Supervisor of Distribution/Customer Service.
  • Ensures that inventory is maintained, measured and moved accurately and efficiently in the facility and in SAP in support of plant operations and objectives.
  • Provide information to purchasing about supplier non-performance at point of receipt.
  • Monitors and reports performance of freight carriers and operators.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating service failures and implementing corrective actions.
  • Identifies and initiates staff development training and cross training.
  • Ensures waste and scrap disposal is performed timely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains and reports departmental metrics.
  • Reports metrics at tier boards and operational reviews.
  • Provide logistics expertise for parcel and truckload shipping.
  • Oversees the support of processing of Customer orders and shipment of products to our Customers.
  • Sets goals and conducts performance reviews for members of the team.
  • Sets up and monitors improvement plans as necessary.
  • Provides required training.
  • Performs other duties and special assignments as required.
  • Develops departmental budgets and support budgetary initiatives.


  • BachelorĂ¢€™s degree in manufacturing operations, business administration, operations management, logistics, or equivalent work experience.


  • Requires a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience preferably in a high paced manufacturing environment
  • Ideal candidate has ERP experience and demonstrated results in inventory control
  • Understands basics of financial and business analysis
  • Understands and is passionate about a metrics-based approach to management
  • Experience in a large matrixed company environment.
  • Brings fresh innovative ideas to improve group processes and effectiveness, aligned with our direction to de-emphasize transactions thru automation and outsourcing, and to drive sourcing partnership with engineering and to lead supply chain management with key suppliers

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knows how businesses work; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting his/her business and organization
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year over year results
  • Acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal customers and gains trust and respect
  • Project management and ability to develop strong support for change with all levels of internal and external organizations
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve practical problems with a variety of variables in situations where standardization may be limited
  • Statistical analysis skills; must be able to analyze trends and statistical data and make appropriate decisions and recommendations
  • Self-driven, results oriented, and motivated to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Proficiency with off-the-shelf database applications
